The Nutrient & Mineral Blend supplies a broad range of nutrients and trace minerals for vigorous plant growth. Organic fish, kelp, crab/lobster and alfalfa meals feed both plants and soil life, while Azomite, basalt rock dust, aragonite, gypsum and Calphos soft rock phosphate restore the calcium and trace minerals many garden soils lack.
This blend feeds plants gently over time rather than all at once. Instead of releasing a quick dose of soluble nutrients, its organic ingredients are broken down gradually by soil microbes, releasing nutrients at a pace plants can use.

Application:
Use the blend to build new living soil, or work it into existing soil in raised beds and containers to restore nutrients.
- To build new soil: Mix 2 lbs (about 4 cups) per cubic foot of soil. For a living soil base, combine roughly two-thirds peat-perlite mix, one-quarter compost and a small amount of worm castings, or use a quality potting soil.
- To topdress existing gardens: Spread 1 lb (about 2 cups) per square foot, scratch lightly into the soil surface and water in.
- Let it rest: For best results, allow about one week after mixing before planting so the amendments can begin to break down.
Coverage by bag size (mixed at 2 lbs per cubic foot):
- 9 lbs: treats 9 cu ft of soil, perfect for a 3' x 3' raised bed filled 12" deep
- 18 lbs: treats 18 cu ft of soil, perfect for a 3' x 6' raised bed filled 12" deep
- 40 lbs: treats about 40 cu ft of soil, enough for a 4' x 8' raised bed filled 15" deep
For best results, let the mix rest for about one week before planting so the amendments can begin to break down. Once mixed into soil, plants need only plain water. This blend works best when plants have plenty of soil to grow in.
