Premo Guard: Pest Control That Does Not Clear the Room

The can of conventional bug spray under the sink comes with a routine attached — shut the door, move the kids and the dog out, spray, wait, air the room, come back later. It works. It also means the one bottle you own is the one you would not want to point at a lettuce bed, a nursery, or an animal, which is where the ants and the aphids and the fleas keep turning up. Premo Guard, from Premo Natural Products, is built for exactly those places: essential-oil formulas that arrive ready to use, with no concentrate to mix and nothing to measure.

Outdoors, and on the Plants

The Long Lasting Rodent Repellent Spray is the perimeter bottle. It repels mice, rats, rabbits, raccoons, and skunks using a blend of essential oils that includes peppermint, cinnamon, and spearmint, and it goes down along foundations, windows, doors, and other entry points — houses, garages, sheds, barns, yards. The listing rates a treated perimeter for up to three months, and calls the formula biodegradable.

The Indoor & Outdoor Plant and Garden Pest Control Spray takes the insect half of the yard: aphids, hornworms, spider mites, fungus gnats, whiteflies, thrips, beetles, and caterpillars, killed on contact, with the listing saying it begins working within hours. Spray leaves, stems, and soil, and do the undersides too, because that is where mites and whiteflies sit. It is stain-free, and the listing calls it safe for vegetables, herbs, flowers, houseplants, trees, and shrubs when used as directed. Time it for early morning or evening — sun on a wet leaf can scorch it — and test one leaf on any plant you have not sprayed before.

Indoors, and on the Animal

The All Purpose Indoor Pest Control Spray is the kitchen-and-basement bottle: ants, cockroaches, spiders, fleas, ticks, fruit flies, and silverfish, killed on contact, applied to carpets, furniture, bedding, baseboards, and cabinets, or around the exterior perimeter. It is the one product here whose listing specifically claims no strong chemical odors or fumes, which decides whether you treat a baseboard at nine at night or wait for the weekend.

The All Purpose Pet Protector comes in 16, 32, and 128 oz, the largest labeled Best Value per fluid ounce. It kills and repels mites, fleas, ticks, lice, and mosquitoes, and Premo Guard describes it as veterinarian approved, gentle enough for puppies, kittens, and bunnies, and effective on more than 95% of common pests across all life stages. Spray it lightly onto the coat and rub it in, then treat the bedding, the crate, and whatever carpet the animal sleeps on — it is stain-free and carries no artificial colors. Keep it away from eyes and face. It is manufactured in certified NPA and GMP facilities and third-party tested.

Where the Line Agrees, and Where It Does Not

Made in the USA: stated on every listing in this collection.

Safe for use around children and pets when used as directed: stated on the Rodent Repellent, the Plant and Garden Spray, and the All Purpose Indoor Spray. The Pet Protector listing does not use that wording. It is described as veterinarian approved and gentle enough for young animals, and its own care notes say to keep it out of reach of children, so treat it as a pet product and handle it that way.

How Often to Spray

Shake well before every use; every one of these labels asks for it. While a problem is active, reapply every two to three days on the rodent, garden, and pet sprays, and every few days on the indoor one — after that, a treated rodent perimeter holds for up to three months. Store the bottles cool and dry, keep them off eyes and mouths, and follow the label. Premo Guard notes on each listing that results vary with the environment and the severity of the infestation, which is a fairer thing to print than a guarantee.
