Power Planter Augers: Drill-Powered Holes for Bulbs, Shrubs and Post Holes

It is late October, two hundred tulip bulbs are sitting in a sack on the back step, and the border along the fence needs every one. What the listings promise is modest: saves time, reduces strain. The drill matters as much as the bit

Drills are sold separately, and each listing names the one it wants. The compact 2- and 3-inch augers want a 3/8-inch or larger chuck and 18V minimum; the 4" x 28" also asks for 18V; the extended-length 3-inch augers want 20V; the 5-inch calls for 20V to 60V; the 7- and 8-inch name 40V; the 9-inch names 60V. Every auger listing agrees on what not to use: no impact drivers, no third-party extensions, no sockets. Tighten the auger in the chuck before pulling the trigger, and call before you dig.
