Made with solid cedar, this deer and pest proof 12' x 8' x 20" garden kit offers 65 square feet of gardening space, and is perfect for a family of five or six.
If you are looking to jump into gardening quickly, and do not want to deal with the chore of pest proofing and the challenge of irrigating your garden beds, this deer proof raised garden bed kit is perfect. The included 5' 7" high fence stops deer and other pests from jumping into your garden, while doubling as a trellis for tomatoes, peas, beans and other climbing vegetables.
The entry to the 12' x 8' garden is approximately 45 inches wide. The interior walkway is about 7 feet long, allowing easy access to the garden beds.

Optional Automatic Watering System:
Located at the back corner of the garden, this automatic soaker hose watering system takes even the simplest of duties out of your hands. We use a digital battery operated controller that is very easy to use. A garden hose can be connected to the unit, or the hose adaptor can be removed so the irrigation unit can be tied into your existing irrigation system with piping. When the controller turns on, water seeps out through the 75 ft. soaker hose. Includes:
- Digital Battery Operated Controller - automatically waters your garden.
- Soaker Hose - lay hose around your plants, cover with a layer of mulch, and water seeps out when the controller turns on.
- Coiled Hose - conveniently mounted in the walkway of the fenced garden.
- Sprayer - attaches to end of the coiled hose. You can manually spray your plants if you choose to, or use the hose to wash your hands.
Please note this irrigation system works best if your water pressure (psi) is between 10 and 80. If the psi is greater than 80, the programmable timer in our system could be damaged. We recommend purchasing a water pressure regulator that will take your water pressure down to 40 psi.
Assembly:
You can assemble this deer proof raised garden bed kit yourself, or have a local handy person follow the instructions and set it up for you. Assembly takes about 6 hours, and adding the soil (approx. 4.5 cubic yards) can take an additional few hours. Note that no digging is required as the entire structure sits directly on the ground. Select a sunny and level piece of land for your garden.
All of our fencing sections are backed with 3/4" wire mesh. When the fencing is delivered, the mesh is already affixed. So, it takes only minutes to attach the fencing sections to the garden beds. Up close, it looks attractive, but from a distance you can't even see it.

My husband just finished putting it together this week. He said it was easy to assemble and with good instructions. We put hardware fabric underneath and waterproof lining on the sides. He did have a friend help him with that. I planted everything yesterday. I have a bad back and it’s a perfect height for me. I don’t have to do much bending over. I was surprised how much I could plant in it. It really holds quite a bit. I’m anxiously awaiting my first crop! And the deer are disappointed that they won’t be dining in my garden!
We ordered 2.5 cubic yards of dirt and it was the perfect amount. And, it was approved by our HOA. I didn’t think they’d approve it but they said raised garden beds are becoming very popular. I highly recommend this brand. The quality is very good and it is already partially assembled with the fencing on the sides. We are very pleased and the customer service was great.

We are super impressed with our raised garden! Purchased as a donation to our school community, this garden was easy assemble and fill. Made of quality wood with thorough instructions and well packaged parts. We could not believe the ease with which we were able to assemble the garden. Working a few hours each day for two days, we enjoyed every step! The garden has been filled, planted and already producing herbs, strawberries, lettuce and tomatoes!

First off- this bed is amazing. It looks gorgeous and it is well built. I love how deep the beds are - potatoes and carrots are no problem!
The downside- the instructions are inaccurate in a few places. For instance - it said that the deer fence panels would be a different thickness on the top and bottom. They were not - and if you had used the screws that assumed that incorrect thickness, it wouldn’t have held together, and you would have run out of screws, because that size was needed for something else. And the correct screws were included, so if you caught the error you did have the correct hardware to assemble. We also spent an hour looking for the sixth board in one step - where only 5 were included or needed. I am very handy and building this otherwise was a breeze - but just be careful before assembling.
Pro tip - make sure that you have made certain that the door will fit BEFORE you put the dirt in.
Even with the instruction issues, I plan on purchasing another one next year.
Note that the color is after coating with a food grade sealer.

As other customers stated, hinges should be metal instead of plastic, and we replace them. We were missing a couple pieces of wood, but we were able to make deal with what we had instead of requesting the parts. It went up easily, and since our area was already level, there was no time spent on that aspect of the project.

Arrived carefully packaged. Each piece was straight. Instruction were clear, and although it says 6 hours to put together, my son and husband had it together in 3. My husband put the organic material in the bottom, put plastic around the bins to extend the life of the cedar and topsoil just added today by our landscaper (10/29/25). It's too late for planting in New England, but garlic will go in now! Very excited for spring! We got the 8x16, I'm hoping I don't have garden space regret and wish we went bigger :/ So far it's beautiful and we're happy!
