Construction
Composite boards are resistant to warping from winter frost, and won't rot from exposure to rain and moisture. The connecting tool-free snap-lock brackets are made of high impact ABS plastic resin, and the composite timbers are made from a blend of sustainable hardwood fibers and post-consumer recycled plastic.
Each board is a standard 2 x 6 size (actual dimensions: 1.5" x 5.5") and 44.5 inches long which creates a 4 foot span from joint to joint.
Assembly
Installation involves sliding the patented snap-lock brackets onto each end of a board and fasten securely with one snap-lock button. The snap-lock brackets have stakes which are simply pressed into the ground. To create a second level, slide the stake of another bracket into the top of the ground-level bracket from above. No tools required!
The patented anchor joint system allows installation on hard surfaces such as rooftops, patios or decks as well as traditional landscapes.

- Rated 4 out of 5 stars4x4 raised bed
Overall I’m happy with my 4x4 raised bed. It was easy to put together.
However, one board arrived missing the hole in one end, therefore the 4 stars only.
It looks really good and seems sturdy. I’m excited to see how it holds up in the Chicago weather over the next few years.
I would purchase again.

Hayley S. - Rated 2 out of 5 starsToo hard to assemble
I previously bought a raised bed from this company that was great. Easy to assemble, looks good, works great. I couldn't find the same one, so I thought this would be similar and ordered two of them. I was wrong. After a long wait, I received this and discovered that it is not easy to put together. You need tools, including a drill. It took me a long time to figure out how to do it quickly. I got plenty of practice, since you have to drill holes on both sides of both ends on each plank (2 levels, 4 sides, 2 beds). At one point I considered returning one of the beds. I spent the whole day assembling and no time planting. This is probably better for someone who likes building things, but I am someone who likes gardening.
Once the parts are prepared, the pieces go together easily, but getting them to stay together is tough. I have them assembled an they are in use, but the corner pins are not staying down, and there is no way to fix them without taking the whole thing apart, and that involves removing all the plants and soil.
I think two stars is pretty generous.
