With open bottoms to facilitate root extension into the soil below, our cedar raised beds offer access to crucial nutrients and soil moisture. The corners feature a secure half-lap design, reinforced by rust-proof, stainless steel rods to prevent loosening over time. Dimensions

All of the side boards used for our raised cedar garden beds are crafted from 1-inch thick resawn cedar measuring 5 1/2 inches tall. Stacking two boards achieves a bed 11 inches tall, three boards achieves a 16.5-inch-tall bed, and four boards create a 22-inch-tall raised bed.

For taller raised beds, specifically the 27.5" and 33" heights, trim packs are required. You can find our Natural Cedar raised garden beds equipped with trim packs here.

Each size includes corner pins matching the ordered bed height, so you can place your bed on solid ground or a patio as needed. This ensures that the tops of the pins align with the bed's upper surface.

For all raised beds measuring 5 feet or more, we include rust-proof, stainless steel crossbars. This prevents bowing from the weight of the soil.

Crafted from kiln-dried cedar, these cedar wood raised garden beds feature fragrant wood with a uniform texture and robust natural oils, providing effective protection against moisture and decay. Cedar surpasses the longevity of most lumber typically available in stores.

To enhance the lifespan of your raised beds, we recommend applying a stain or sealant. Among the options is our Eco Wood Treatment. This treatment works by protecting wood fibers against water and fungal decay. It not only enhances the wood’s durability, but also imparts an aged, silvery patina.

Innovative Design

Our simple raised cedar garden bed kit design accommodates the natural shrinkage and swelling of wood, enhancing strength and durability in wet and dry environments. Unlike screws and nails that tend to loosen as wood ages, our raised beds feature rust-proof, stainless steel rods securely placed through the ends of each board. This ensures the raised bed remains intact and resilient yet can be easily disassembled if necessary.

Setup & Assembly

Assemble our raised beds in minutes without tools. Simply level the ground, line up the boards, and insert corner pins to create a durable bed for all your garden plants. Corner pins will match the height of the ordered bed, allowing you to locate our beds on soft or hard surfaces.

To ensure best performance, we recommend placing your boards in a garage, shed or covered area for 3-5 days before assembling. This step helps prevent issues like cupping, warping, and gapping by allowing your bed to acclimate to its new home.

Easily build a cloche over these raised cedar garden beds. You can leave the corner pins slightly protruding and then slide some thin PVC pipe over them, bending the pipe in a hoop to the other side of the bed. Then drape clear plastic over the pipe and affix with zip-ties. Now your garden is greenhouse ready!

Premium Raised Beds with Trim Pack

Looking for a premium version of our classic cedar raised garden beds? Buy cedar raised beds with a trim pack for an attractive finish and increased durability, especially for taller raised beds. The trim covers the lap joints and locks the boards in place to prevent separation on uneven ground. The trim pack consists of pre-drilled 3-1/4 inch wide top rails and corner moldings that attach to the raised bed with included screws.

The trim packs allow us to offer a larger variety of sizes, including taller 27.5" and 33" heights. The premium raised beds with trim packs extend the regular 3 year warranty to 5 years.
