Recycle food waste with a Bokashi Bucket System, featuring a complete starter kit that converts kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich soil with minimal space and no foul odors.

Ideal for apartments, households and schools, this all-in-one kit provides everything needed to start Bokashi composting. Harnessing the power of beneficial microorganisms, this system ferments food waste quickly, efficiently, and simply - even elementary school children can use this method successfully.

Bokashi systems effectively handle meat, dairy, cooked foods, bread, citrus and other food waste that can be harder to compost in a traditional compost heap or worm composter.

The Bokashi Food Waste Recycling System uses an anaerobic fermentation process that breaks down organic waste without attracting pests or producing unpleasant smells. Simply add food scraps, sprinkle Bokashi bran, and seal the bucket with the easy-open flexible lid.

After fermentation, the material can be buried directly in soil or incorporated into garden beds to enrich the soil naturally or it can be added to an existing compost pile. The fermentation process will have jumpstarted the decomposition and it will disappear into a compost pile or into the soil quickly.

Designed for beginners and experienced composters alike, this starter kit provides a convenient and affordable way to reduce household waste while creating healthier soils. Its user-friendly design is so simple that even elementary school students use Bokashi systems in school composting programs.

How To Use:

Bucket Bokashi Systems:

Within your Bokashi bucket, add a layer of food scraps. Add in the Bokashi bran until the most recent layer is covered, and continue this process until your bin is full. Once filled, leave the system to ferment for 1-2 weeks and avoid exposing the system to air.

Now you can begin filling up the second bucket as the first ferments. Once the 1-2 week fermentation is finished. After the food waste has fermented you can bury the contents of your bucket directly in the soil to finish off decomposing or you can add it to an existing compost pile or worm bed, or feed it to livestock!

You can then seal the second bucket and begin filling the original one again to continue the process.

You'll know the Bokashi bran is working when you see white fungal growth.

Important Note: After the fermentation process is complete, the fermented food waste should be buried in soil, added to a compost pile, or incorporated into garden beds to finish decomposition and release nutrients.
