The Premium Double-Wall Soaker Hose provides even water distribution, watering an average of 12 inches on either side of the hose (24 inches total). How To Use:
Soaker hoses may be used above or below ground. If using above ground, lay the hose along your row of plants and cover with mulch or rock to minimize evaporation. For below-ground irrigation, bury hose 2 to 6 inches deep. Connect the soaker hose to an outdoor faucet or garden hose, and turn faucet 1/4 turn (10-30 psi).
The end of this hose is fitted with a screw on cap (no pressure valve is necessary) which allows you to connect additional soaker hoses. Recommended for runs up to 500 feet. These hoses are so strong you can run the water at full pressure if necessary, with no problems. Double-thick walls prevent kinking or bursting in cold temperatures.
The 50' Premium Soaker Hose has a flow rate of 3.1 GPM measured at 62 PSI input from hose. PSI in: 58 PSI. End: 50 PSI.

Purchased three hoses for a landscaping project. On test after lay out, there were areas where water came through and other vast areas where there was no water at all. Tried various pressures, shook out the hoses to pre-break them in, left water running for hours to give them a chance. Nothing worked and all of the hoses had to be pulled back up. Called Eartheasy and they got with Dramm. It appears Dramm manufactured some bad batches of hoses with failures. I was one of the unlucky ones who got some from the bad batch.
Eartheasy made it right however, and I greatly appreciate the customer service. They also recommended alternatives. Thank you Eartheasy for the super service and help getting this resolved.

Replaced several thin wall hoses that didn't handle water flow in longer runs. This is great for setting up a water system for landscaping. Did a run of 100 ft, and tested. Does the job. Covered with weed barrier and mulch. Less weeding and watering. I did not use at all around my food grade garden area. It is recycled tire material which will leach into your plants. General landscaping works great. Not good for food gardening.

These work great - you can see the water dripping out, instead of others I've tried that have mere pin holes which require hours of drip time to get any real moisture below the surface.

I bought these to replace the soakers I bought on Amazon which were made in China and had major leakage at the plastic connector to the water supply. They also did not distribute water evenly along the length of the hose with major gysers making them unusablefor our above ground veggie boxes. These are more costly but seem to get the job done well.
