LuxCraft Outdoor Furniture: Recycled Poly Lumber, Made in the USA
The largest piece in this collection is the Lumin Outdoor Fire Table: 79.25 inches wide, 49.5 inches deep, 291 pounds at dining height and 330 pounds at bar height, lit by a push-button ignition that delivers a clean-burning flame. The surprise is what it is built from: the same recycled poly lumber as every other piece of LuxCraft outdoor furniture in this collection, right down to the Classic Patio Bar Stool, the smallest thing here at a 15-inch square footprint.
The Material Is Old Milk Jugs
Poly is high-density polyethylene, or HDPE, the plastic in milk and detergent bottles. LuxCraft's supply starts as post-consumer waste, is cleaned to a purity level of over 99% HDPE, then compounded into solid board stock. The finished product holds over 90% recycled post-consumer waste by weight. Everything here is UV stabilized, impervious to insects, mold and mildew, and highly resistant to moisture, fading, splintering and warping. Stainless steel screws are specified on everything except the bar stool and the two Lumin fire pits. Made in the USA and a Limited Lifetime Warranty appear on every item.
Adirondacks, Rockers, Benches, Tables
The Adirondack chairs go deepest. The compact Classic Patio & Garden Adirondack measures 25"W x 31.5"D x 35.5"H with a 20-inch seat width, the one for a small deck. The Premium Adirondack Swivel turns a full 360 degrees and adds an integrated footrest on its counter and bar versions. The Balcony & Patio Adirondack stands 49 inches tall with a footrest of its own, built to pull up to a counter. The Urban Adirondack and the Classic arm and side chairs cover the rest.
Around them sit two rockers: Grandpa's Rocking Chair, 27"W x 33"D x 46"H with a traditional slatted back, and the Classic Comfort Rocker, an ergonomically contoured seat at 26.5"W x 33"D x 41.5"H. Then two four-foot benches, both 55 inches wide and 29 deep, separated only by back height, 36 inches on the Original and 43 on the Classic, and the two single garden chairs divide the same way. The Urban Chat Chair is the contemporary 2.5-foot single seat. The Lanai line handles deep seating with an ottoman, a chair, a loveseat, an 84-inch three-seat sofa and a porch swing hung on rustic rope and pulleys, all of it on zippered Sunbrella cushions that are water and stain repellent.
Tables begin low: the Deluxe Conversation Table is a 43-inch round top just 20 inches off the ground, sized to drop between Adirondack chairs. Above it sit a 6-foot dining table and an octagonal picnic table that seats eight on integrated benches inside an 85.5-inch square footprint. Four more Lumin fire features join the 79-inch table: a 51-inch rectangular pit, a 46-inch round pit with push-button ignition, and 62-inch and 60-inch tables that raise an adjustable flame over tempered fire glass gems behind a glass wind guard. All four arrive set up for liquid propane and include a conversion kit for natural gas.
Picking a Color and a Height
Most pieces list 17 or 18 color choices: solids including Black, White, Weatherwood and Forest Green, plus two-tone pairings such as Weatherwood over Chestnut Brown or Dove Gray over Slate. Three stretch that to 35 by adding Red, Yellow, Tangerine, Lime Green and Aruba Blue: the Classic Patio & Garden Adirondack, the Urban Adirondack and the Deluxe Conversation Table. The Lanai pieces are configured differently, pairing 9 frame colors with 4 Sunbrella fabrics. Seven products come in dining (30"), counter (36") and bar (42") heights, three of the Adirondacks plus the dining table and the three fire tables, so seating matches whichever table height you land on.
Care: Brush away dirt and debris and rinse with a hose. For tougher stains, use mild soap and water, scrub gently and rinse well. Avoid strong cleaners and harsh chemicals.
