It is easily portable and an excellent choice for those who lack the strength to haul a heavier hose. It comes in lengths suitable for watering backyards and patio gardens.

This drinking water safe hose is lightweight but certainly not light-duty. It is made of UV-stabilized polyether-based polyurethane, which offers superior abrasion resistance, ensuring years of reliable use.

Is the whole hose lead-free, including the brass fittings?

Yes, the entire hose is 100% lead-free, including the fittings. The tubing is UV-stabilized, polyether-based polyurethane that is also phthalate-free, PVC-free and BPA-free, and the fittings are solid machined brass with a chrome (nickel) plating that isolates the brass. It meets both FDA and NSF standards for drinking-water-safe applications.

Does this garden hose have a California Prop 65 warning?

No, this hose does not carry a California Prop 65 warning. It meets Prop 65 standards and contains no chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm. The chrome plating on the brass fittings isolates the brass, which is why no warning label is required.

Will this hose fit a standard garden faucet and nozzles?

Yes, this hose fits any standard garden faucet, spigot, nozzle or sprayer. While the inside diameter is a slim 7/16", the male and female end fittings are the standard 5/8" garden-hose thread, so they connect to regular spigots and accessories exactly like a conventional hose.

What is the flow rate and water pressure with the 7/16" diameter?

The flow rate is 4-5 gallons per minute at 80 PSI. Because the inside diameter is a slim 7/16" rather than a standard 5/8", water pressure is gentler than a traditional hose, which is ideal for watering plants but not strong enough for a pressure washer.

Can I connect two of these hoses together for more length?

Yes, you can link multiple hoses together to extend your reach to the far corners of your yard. Because the end fittings are the standard 5/8" garden-hose thread, two or more hoses (for example, two 50-foot lengths) connect directly to one another without any adapters.

Can this hose stay outside in cold or freezing weather?

This hose stays flexible in all weather, even at low temperatures, but you should drain and store it indoors once temperatures reach freezing or below. Leaving water inside during freezing or sub-zero conditions can crack the hose, so winter storage protects it and extends its life.

What is the maximum water temperature this hose can handle?

This hose handles water temperatures up to 150°F at a maximum working pressure of 50 PSI, with a built-in 3:1 safety factor. It is rated for cold-water use, so we don't recommend running very hot water through it beyond what it would naturally reach sitting in the sun.

Lightweight and lower pressure
We love that this is really lightweight and easy to store. It takes up half as much space as our 50 ft standard hose did. When the water turns off there's much less pressure, and the water doesn't keep flowing as long - it turns off right away. The only slightly negative is that if you hold the hose while rolling it up, it can give you a little burn on your hand. We found we can just spray it with water before turning it off and it solves the problem.

Best garden hose I've owned.
We purchased the 25' purple premium drinking water safe garden hose - (slim 7/16') for our chicken run after I noticed the existing hose was disintegrating into the chicken's water and was not drinking water safe.
