Does this soaker hose water evenly from end to end?

Yes, this soaker hose delivers consistent water weep from one end to the other, even on the 100-foot length. Water sweats slowly and continuously through tiny pores along the full run, so plants at the far end receive the same moisture as those near the faucet. Distribution stays even at the recommended low pressure.

Can the soaker hose be cut to length and have fittings added?

Yes, this soaker hose can be cut to a custom length and fitted, but only with the proper tooling, specifically a hose or pipe cutter available at most hardware stores. Note that any modifications to the hose void the 5-year manufacturer's warranty. Eartheasy does not sell separate fittings for these hoses.

How wide an area does the soaker hose water, and is one run enough for my bed?

This soaker hose waters a band roughly 2 to 3 feet wide, sweating water slowly and continuously along its length. A single run is typically enough for beds up to about 3 feet wide. Coverage depends on your pressure: reduce to 5 PSI for maximum weep, or open it up for more spray.

Do I need a pressure reducer with this soaker hose?

No, a pressure reducer is not necessary with this soaker hose. It is rated for water pressure from 3 to 200 PSI, so standard household supply works fine. For soaking and weeping, 5 to 10 PSI is recommended, which performs well even across a full 100-foot length. Open it further for more spray.

What size fittings does this soaker hose use?

This soaker hose fits standard 5/8-inch garden hose fittings, so it connects directly to a typical outdoor faucet or garden hose. One end screws to the faucet and the other to a wand or sprayer. The end cap simply comes off during setup, so you do not need to worry about which end is which.

Can the soaker hose be covered with mulch, and should it be removed for winter?

Yes, you can cover this soaker hose with 2 to 3 inches of mulch or straw to retain moisture and protect it from sun damage. For winter, we highly recommend draining the hose and storing it over the cold months to prevent freeze damage, especially in areas with snow.

Can two soaker hoses be connected together?

Yes, you can connect two of these soaker hoses together and they will continue to work properly, which is useful for long shrub rows or fence lines. Because the hose maintains even weep along its length, connected runs still deliver consistent water. Keep pressure in the recommended 5 to 10 PSI range for best soaking results.

The perfect soaker house.
This hose is amazing, it’s lead free, drinking water safe and will keep my organic blueberries organic. It’s soft to the touch, blends into the ground and I can’t recommend it enough. It sprays a fine mist of micro droplets that creates rainbows and soaks the ground quickly. I will only buy this brand of soaker hose in the future. Thank you to Earth Easy for making this!

Best Soaker Hose
This is the best soaker hose I have ever used! It’s pliable enough to install easily and distributes the water along the entire hose. And it’s veggie friendly. Finally, after trying complicated drip systems and various soakers, I have a good solution to watering!

After going through two different brands of recycled tire hoses for a landscape job, with failures on both of those, I purchased these. The hose both drips and sprays very small streams of water up and out so the saturation is more complete than just a typical drip. They work best when there is no other source of water lowering water pressure in the system so I run them for a while independently from other watering. Expensive but superior.

Well made with great distribution
This hose fits perfectly in my wildflower garden along side my garage. I have gone through many inferior soaker hoses only to have them fall apart and/ or spring leaks. This is a quality hose that was made to last. The water distribution is perfect. I made a vow to no longer buy inferior products for my pollinator pathway yard. .
