New for Spring 2023!
In the winter garden, nothing shines brighter than a native Hawthorn tree. This sweet ornamental tree drapes itself in copious clusters of shiny red fruits all winter long, providing a much needed feast for the birds into late winter.
Unfortunately at this time we cannot ship into ID,MT,OR.
Overview
Give your backyard birds year-long forage with a Native Hawthorn. Providing forage throughout the winter, birds hold off on eating them until the tastier, fattier fruits have exhausted elsewhere. Then, they’ll come flocking to your yard—cedar waxwings, purple finches, robins, cardinals, and mockingbirds are its biggest fans—to strip your tree bare.
Audubon® Native Green Hawthorn: A dense crown of shiny green foliage, showy white flowers in spring and vibrant fall foliage adding hues of yellow and scarlet to any landscape. This tree matures to be 20-35' tall and wide. Suited for zones 4-8. Green Hawthorn also tolerates drought and urban pollution allowing many locations for planting.
Audubon® Native Washington Hawthorn: Hawthorn's lush foliage supports a variety of caterpillars and other delicious (to birds) bugs, for the summer birds. In the winter, enjoy cedar waxwings, purple finches, robins, cardinals, and mockingbirds. This species is more resistant to leaf diseases that can plague other Hawthorns. Trees will mature to 25-30' tall, 25-30' wide. Best suite to zones 3-8.
Features & Benefits:

- Vibrant fall foliage
- Bird-friendly native plant provides food and shelter for local and migrating birds and other wildlife
