Overview
Asparagus is one of the most versatile and vigorous perennial vegetables to grow, and definitely a tasty addition to any meal! Enjoy crispy and delicious asparagus for many springs to come. Once established, Jersey Knight Asparagus is a low maintenance and hardy grower.
You'll want to plant asparagus deeper than most plants, about 12 inches deep, so the succulent spears can have room to grow and reach through the soil. Spears can range in size from medium to large, and this variation of asparagus is tolerant to rust, root rot, and fusarium. Jersey Knight plants fan out into a fern-like appearance before sprouting the desired vegetables.

Care Instructions:
Watering: These crowns will need to be watered daily for the first 3-5 weeks; then 2-3 times a week for the remainder of the year until winter. Watering needs may be altered due to extreme weather conditions.
Soil/Conditions: Well-draining, organically rich to average soil. We recommend spacing crowns 12-16" apart.
