Overview

This tropical blend enhances aeration and root growth and is mixed with natural components to meet the demands of moisture-loving tropical plants. Pluvr combines their signature Vermicompost with coconut coir (peat-moss substitute), rice hulls (substitute for perlite and vermiculite), pine bark fines and organic minerals like azomite.

Pluvr’s vermicompost is made with the help of DC-based restaurants as well as an army of red wiggler worms. Uncontaminated food scraps and coffee grounds are blended with local leaves and fed into an in-vessel composter where a hot composting process takes place, killing all pathogens and weed seeds. The composted material is then fed to worms, who create worm castings in a continuous flow system. Worm castings nourish your soil, promoting healthy root growth while also reducing your watering needs.

Features & Benefits:

  • Specially blended for tropical plants
  • 2 quart bag
  • Each bag diverts 8lbs of organic matter from the landfill
  • Free from chemicals, toxic ingredients and synthetic ingredients
  • Partners with local DC restaurants to divert food waste
  • Made in the USA

How To Use:

  • Select the correct-sized pot for your plant and ensure it has drainage holes at the bottom
  • Fill soil to 1⁄3 of pot and moisten soil once in the pot
  • Remove plant from previous container and massage the root ball to loosen
  • Place plant in center of pot
  • Fill in pot with additional soil to 1 inch below the rim
  • Carefully pat down the soil around plant’s crown to anchor it
  • Water plant 1 week after repotting
