Overview

The Vita Grow Light uses a unique LED light, consuming little power while producing the full photosynthetic spectrum and ambient lighting for the home. Simply screw it into any traditional light fixture to give your plants the light and life they deserve.

With a hanging height of 12" - 70", the Vita is perfect for herbs, and small to medium sized houseplants. The Vita grow light promises a professional level of light quality usually reserved for photographers and art galleries.

The Vita creates light using a balance of blue, green, and red. This is important because blue light supports root development and dense plant growth, while red light supports plant growth and flowering. These grow lights have a color temperature of 3000K and a color rendering index (CRI) value of 98.

Features & Benefits:

  • Solid extruded aluminum body
  • 1:4 ratio of blue to red light
  • Color temperature of 3000K
  • Color rendering index (CRI) value of 98
  • Energy efficient LED
  • 36 degree beam angle
  • 20 watts
  • Base E26, Size PAR30

FAQs:

How does it work? Full spectrum LEDs supply an ideal balance of light for vegetative plants and seed starting. LEDs run at low temperatures, thus eliminating the risk of burning young seedlings/plants.

How do the grow lights work? You’ve probably heard of photosynthesis, a process in which plants make food by trapping light energy in their leaves. Chlorophyll, a plant pigment which does the trapping and creates energy for the plant, usually absorbs red and blue light. These two colors’ specific wavelength range, called Photosynthetically Active Radiation (or PAR for short), falls within 400 nanometer (nm) to 700 nm wavelengths, perfect for Chlorophyll to manufacture sugar to fuel plant growth. This full-spectrum grow light provides both of these ranges in high amounts as well as in-between ranges, too. The combination of all spectrums is emitted as a natural, warm sun-like white color instead of the harsh bluish glare of other commercial grow lights.

Is the color shown in the photos accurate to what it looks like in person? Yes! The 98 CRI rated full-spectrum LEDs produce a museum-quality lighting, meaning no harsh blues or reds...just natural, warm white.
