Base Vents
Base vents are helpful in assuring that there is air continually flowing throughout your greenhouse. This will create cross-ventilation and will ensure proper air flow to prevent mold in damp climates, and keep the greenhouse cooler in hot climates.
We recommend mountain a vent near the base in each corner for cross ventilation. Two base vents are recommended for every 4 feet of greenhouse length.
Each base vent is 4" H x 9" W and are sold individually.
Tie Down Kit
Tie down kits will keep your greenhouse secure and stable even in the strongest winds. Assembly and disconnection is simple. We recommend an anchor every 8 feet.
Each kit includes x4 anchors that are 14.5" long. We recommend the longer tie down kit for sandy soil, or larger greenhouses, like the Conservatory models.
Automatic Solar Opener
As of 2023, all Solexx Greenhouses will now include a single, 12”x12” aluminum louvered vent with a heat-activated opener. This new addition replaces the previous 24” x 12” Solexx Manual Louver. Despite its smaller size, the new louver opens at a 90-degree angle, allowing even more airflow within the greenhouse. Additionally, it comes standard with an automatic (heat activated) opener, allowing it to open and close while you're away, without the need for electricity.
You can purchase additional louvers with automatic openers above in a variety of sizes: 12" x 12", 18” x 18” and 24” x 24”.
Wire Shelf Racks
Solexx greenhouses come with powder-coated steel racks that fit neatly over the frames. These frames are very strong, drain water, and allow air to circulate. If you don’t want the added cost, you can lay boards across the frames to act as shelves.
This option includes individual 8' shelves needed to cover the frames for either the side or back shelves. Each side shelf is 29" x 47" and each back shelf is 24"x 45" (designed for the 12' Garden Master and Oasis models).

Adaptive Plastics, manufacturer of Solexx greenhouses and greenhouse covering, was first introduced to corrugated polyethylene plastic in 1986 and began manufacturing insulated twin-walled fruit harvesting totes for growers. After experimenting with the corrugated plastic as a hot house covering and seeing how well tomato plants grew under the material, the idea to use the panels to design a hobby greenhouse kit was born.
