Overview

Made from durable, rot-resistant cedar, this 12' x 16' SunShed is a garden shed that also functions as a greenhouse. One side of the roof has a 6mm thick twin-wall translucent polycarbonate panel that allows filtered light to pour in - great for your vegetable or flower seedlings and other plants.

You can also transform it into a hobby house, artist studio or your own private retreat! No matter what you choose, we’re sure you will love this unique, attractive and functional garden shed.

The 12' x 16' SunShed has a 107 inch interior height at the peak, so there is plenty of room to breathe, and a large storage capacity of 1152 cubic feet. Ten functional aluminum windows with screens and locks offer great ventilation, while keeping the bugs out.

Since the shed is panelized, the walls, windows, door, and roof can be orientated in two different configurations to best suit your location.

Roof Options:

The cedar roof option radiates timeless charm while also delivering outstanding quality. When choosing this option, it will include:

• Cedar shingle panels pre-attached to ½” plywood sheathing, with roofing paper for water protection
• Proprietary seam filler shingles for a seamless roof
• Western red cedar roof ridge caps
• All necessary roofing hardware

The metal roof option is a modern choice that goes beyond just aesthetics – it serves as a robust shield, ensuring long-lasting protection for your property against the elements. When choosing this option, it will include:

• Pre-cut 1×4 western red cedar roof battens
• 26 gauge drip caps
• 26 gauge galvalume roof panels
• 26 gauge ridge caps
• All necessary roofing hardware

Assembly:

Assembly is required and takes two to three days with a helper, depending on your skill level. Components are assembled, with some holes pre-drilled, and disassembled prior to shipping to ensure ease of construction. All hardware is included. The shed comes with illustrated step-by-step instructions.

This cedar garden shed naturally weathers to a light grey color. We recommend staining or painting the shed. Western red cedar wood accepts a wide range of finishes to help you customize the appearance of shed. Unlike pressure treated lumber, there are no toxic chemical preservatives used in its manufacturing.

Shipping & Delivery:

Please Note:  The 12' x 16' SunShed Garden Shed ships on two pallets via standard motor freight. The freight carrier will call in advance to schedule a delivery date.  On the morning of the delivery, we recommend calling the carrier to confirm your shipment is on schedule. Carriers typically deliver between 9am-5pm. Make sure you are present or have someone available to receive the shipment.  At the time of delivery, do not sign until you have inspected the freight for any damage.

Liftgate Delivery:  This means that the driver will take your skid to the back of the truck, place it on the liftgate, lower it to the ground and place it next to the truck. (A liftgate is required due to the large nature of this product; however, if you have a forklift at the delivery location, please call us before ordering and we will deduct the liftgate fee).

Once lift-gated down, take a moment to cut the straps and pull off the plastic tarp. Check for any corner damages, wood chips, sharp cuts/gouges to the product, or if the pallet is broken.

After checking the shipment, we recommend keeping the plastic shipping tarp to cover and protect the cedar components until you are ready to start your project. When finished, repurpose it!
