Overview

Perimeter garden fence kits are the perfect defense against wildlife pressure. Our deer fence kits include everything that you will need to assemble a basic enclosure around your yard or garden. You may need corners or gates (available here) depending on the shape and type of installation.

Both material options are high quality, and have been used successfully for over 25 years to keep gardens safe. The 14 gauge welded wire features a 2" x 4" pattern and an expected life expectancy of 20-30 years. The heavy-duty reinforced poly has a 2" x 2" mesh pattern keeping out animals of all sizes. The poly fence has an expected life expectancy of 10-15 years.

All of the posts in this garden kit are galvanized steel with a durable black powder coating. The posts are designed to outlast the fencing, providing years of reliable support. This kit includes black powder coated ground sleeves with a welded tip for extra strength and durability to help the sleeve drive into even tough soil conditions without issue.

Features & Benefits:

  • Customize your fence to your needs
  • Break strength of 650-950lbs
  • Powder coated ground sleeves with a welded tip for extra strength
  • Powder coated, galvanized steel posts for extra strength and durability
  • 120lb zip ties are UV stabilized and are thicker and stronger than most
  • All hardware included

We strongly recommend flagging your fence with a contrasting color (white or orange). This helps wildlife visualize the barrier.

We strongly recommend adding corners when your fence line is going to curve at a 45° angle or more. This will provide increased fence stability.

What's Included:

Each Fence Kit includes:

Per 100 feet -

  • (1)     8' Maximum Strength Poly Fence Roll
  • (7)     9' x 1 5/8” pipes (8’ above ground)
  • (7)     1 5/8" ground sleeves
  • (7)     1 5/8" Vinyl Post Caps
  • (1)     8" Self-Locking UV treated Ties - 100pk
  • (1)     12" Kinked Ground Stakes - 30pk

Per Kit -

  • (1)     1 5/8" Driver Cap for driving ground sleeves
  • (1)     Cutter Puller Tool for Self-Locking Ties
  • (1)     1" x 24" White Warning Banner - 50pk

Installation Questions & Tips:

How deep will ground sleeves go into the ground?

Usually ~30 inches into the ground. Using a driver cap will help to easily drive in ground sleeves without mushrooming, or damaging, the sleeve.

My posts seem too long for the fence I want.

When installing fence posts into ground sleeves, installers will lose about 1 foot of height. In turn, the fence will be the height that is expected.

What's the best spacing for fence posts?

Fence posts should be spaced 15-20 feet apart from each other. If you wish to go 10 feet apart, we recommend installing fence tensioning to avoid sagging/drooping posts.

Should I roll out the fence mesh to install?

When installing the fence without assistance, it is best to stand up the fence, and roll the fence mesh from post the post for ease of installation. With helpful hands, the fence can be rolled out in its entirety; but it will depend on how many assistants are available for the project!

How do I add ground stakes?

Hammer in ground stakes at the bottom of the fence line every 5 feet apart from each other.

Where do I put deer flags?

Deer flags, or warning banners, work best in the middle of the fence. Adding them to the top of the fence will give deer a better gauge when jumping. (This will not end well for growers.)

Where do I add zip ties?

Self-locking ties are used to attach fence mesh to the fence posts. The ties go every foot along the fence post.
