Overview

Neem oil is a natural vegetable oil extracted from the Neem tree in India. The leaves, seeds, and seed oil of the Neem tree contain salannin, a compound with effective insect repelling properties. Neem oil is a natural product and is safe to use around your garden. 

This neem oil comes in a concentrated formula. Simply dilute with water to make a ready-to-use spray using the ratios below. A little goes a long way! This 1 pint bottle makes up to 16 gallons of spray.

  • Kills eggs, larvae and adult stages of insect pests, including aphids, spider mites, scale, whiteflies, beetles and leaf-eating caterpillars
  • Helps prevent and control powdery mildew, black spot on roses, anthracnose and rust diseases
  • Stops powdery mildew in 24 hours
  • Use on vegetables, flowers, ornamentals, trees, shrubs and houseplants
  • Active Ingredient: 70% clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil
  • Can be used up to the day of harvest

Instructions:

As a fungicide: Mix 2 tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) of Neem Oil Concentrate per 1 gallon of water. Thoroughly mix solution and spray all plant surfaces, including undersides of leaves, until completely wet. Frequently mix solution as you spray.

As an insecticide: Mix 2-4 tablespoons (1-2 fluid ounces) of Neem Oil Concentrate per 1 gallon of water. Thoroughly mix solution and spray all plant surfaces. Apply neem oil spray at first sign of insects or mites. You can also use neem oil as a dormant spray to control overwintering eggs of various insect pests.

  • Once dry, sprayed area is safe for beneficial insects.
  • As with other oil-based products, exercise care in timing applications to early morning or evening to minimize the potential for leaf burn.
  • Do not apply to wilted or otherwise stressed plants, or to new transplants prior to root establishment.
