Unlike a conventional draft snake, the Twin Draft Guard stays with the door as it opens and closes.
To install the Twin Draft Guard, simply cut the two sets of included foam tubes to the needed length, insert into the two connected fabric sleeves, and slide under the door.
When the door is closed, with a foam tube on either side of the door, air movement beneath the door will be reduced. We put one on our pantry door, to keep the cold air from seeping into our kitchen. The Twin Draft Guard is also useful in the summer to help keep cool air inside an air-conditioned room.
The length of the Twin Draft Guard is 35 inches long, and may be easily cut to fit smaller doors. The diameter of the foam tubes is 1.5 inches. It is machine washable, and suitable for use over wood, tile, or linoleum floors.
Please note: we tested this product and found it only works if the gap under the door is less than 3/4 inch high.
