Excellent flea control, without toxic chemicals. This sturdy trap is a permanent appliance that you will be able to use whenever flea outbreaks occur.
Simply place a sticky pad under the grid and plug the appliance into a 110V socket. The light and heat attracts fleas 24 hours a day. Kansas State Veterinary Department has tested this trap and found it effective in ranges up to 25 feet. The fleas fall through the grid and get stuck on the replaceable sticky pad below.
Features & Benefits
- outperforms most other flea traps
- capture pad can trap 100’s of fleas
- quiet, no smells, and small design allows for discrete placement
- grid hides dead fleas from view
- one year warranty against breakage
- comes with sticky pad
- Each pad will last 3-6 months.
PLEASE NOTE: Because fleas live in small, defined areas, place the trap as close to the outbreak as possible. If trap is not catching fleas in 48 hrs, move to a different location. The trap will not attract fleas away from your pet, rather it will attract the fleas when their food source (blood) has been removed. If your pet is infested, consider using the nontoxic, safe, Insect Dust (diatomaceous earth).

Questions about the Electric Flea Trap

- Should I place multiple traps throughout my apartment? My cats are suffering from fleas and my husband and I keep getting bit by fleas in our bed! I want these buggers gone for good!
- You can either use a single trap and move it to new locations as the need arises, or you can place multiple traps in your home of several areas are afflicted with fleas. Whichever you decide, you should follow up with an application of diatomaceous earth since this will kill emerging populations of fleas from eggs which are still dormant.

- how do you replace pad on unit
also how can one create this - You just peel off the old pad and set the new one on. It is very easy.
You can create a similar effect with a night light and a shallow dish of soapy water. It is not as effective, or as tidy, as the electric fela trap. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No

- i live outside the states. i was doing an internet search and came upon this product, which looks really good. do u make these for international use? we use 220 in the middle east. i have 5 cats and u guessed it, the flea situation is out of control.
thanks! - Hi Zahava,
The electric flea trap works on 110 - 120v, but we do not have any model that runs on 220v.
However, it would not be too difficult to make one of these traps yourself. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No

helped get the problem under control

I didn't think there were fleas in my apartment until we had a fire. When I went in after the fire to clean things out, my pant legs were covered in fleas. I bought one these traps Fed Ex fast.
This trap pad was full of them after one day! I kept moving the trap around till the number went down. Now am applying the diatom earth which you sell to keep the number in check.
I should have had one of these traps all along. My cat doesn't scratch much but I guess there were fleas anyway.

We have a vacation home that we visit infrequently. We bought these to attract any fleas or ticks while we are away, and we almost always find something in it when we look. So it works! We have started using Frontline to kill fleas and ticks so that when we arrive we don't bring any with us, but there are still plenty around the vacation area--lots of deer and other dogs in the area. One drawback, we should have left the tie on the cord to keep it very short as the dog got too curious one day and nearly strangled himself in it. What a mess that was. We have since re-tied all the cords to their shortest possible length. I also put a strip of tape on the top and wrote, "Flea trap, don't touch!" so that curious vacationers would leave them alone. (Some people thought they were nightlights.)

Works well, helps the situation
By on 7/21/10
I was hoping this trap would attract fleas off my cats, but it seems as though the cats are more attractive, which makes sense. But it does catch fleas when the cats are outside. I put it where the fleas are found, and overtime I do see a few fleas stuck down there. I don't have a major infestation, but I leave it plugged in because I want to stay on top of the situation. Make sure to get the Insect Dust bag as that works well with this. From one animal lover to another!
