Most items ship from our warehouse in Milwaukee, WI, but if you are ordering a heavy or oversized item, we often have the manufacturer ship it directly to you to reduce shipping costs and save you money. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on shipment weight and destination. Eartheasy can ship to residential and commercial addresses in all 50 US States, but unfortunately oversized products do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. If you are in Alaska or Hawaii and have your heart set on an oversized item, give us a call and we’ll try our best to help you with a freight quote. Unfortunately we do not ship to U.S. Territories or U.S. military installations at this time, but we are working on making these options available soon.

Canadian orders ship weekly on Thursdays via Purolator International and shipping costs include duties and taxes. Unfortunately, expedited shipping to Canada is not available at this time.

Processing Time & Shipping Charges:
The "Lead Time" on a product specifies the number of business days for your item to be prepared by our warehouse. The Lead Time does not include the date the order is placed. This also applies for all shipping methods, including express methods. If your item is shipping freight, you will receive a call to schedule the delivery with your driver. Overview

Approved by the North American Bluebird Society, this bluebird house is designed to deter sparrows. Some studies have shown that bluebirds prefer a slot entrance to the standard circular hole entrance and sparrows prefer the opposite. Also, sparrows tend to avoid shallow homes so the Sparrow-Resistant Bluebird House was constructed to be only 5" deep and includes a wooden insert to adjust the depth to a mere 3-1/2". Sparrows will avoid this depth, but bluebirds will still occupy the house.

  • House is rough-sawn to give fledglings a foothold when they are ready to climb out of the nest
  • Ventilation slots located at the top of the sides prevent overheating
  • Slots in the bottom corners provide drainage
  • Floor is also recessed to keep inside dry
  • Mounting hardware not included (2/1-1/2" wood screws recommended)
  • Handcrafted from 1" white pine for insulation and durability

Our nest boxes are correct in every detail for each species and come with species specific literature and mounting instructions.

All of our nest boxes are crafted of custom milled, premium grade, sustainably grown, Eastern white pine, from Robbins Lumber mill in Maine. Robbins Lumber is a leader in responsible forestry management practices. They replant where they harvest, secure the soil from erosion, preserve wildlife habitats and ensure that a sixth generation of the Robbins family can depend on a healthy and productive forest.
