  • can the rabbit fence fit into another configuration?
    I want a border fence of a larger area which is in 4' segments (with the anchor and stacking joints) some parts are 90 degrees and some are straight 180 degrees. Can the supports and cross bar configurations accomodate either? (or do the kits come only with 4 cornere and 2 straight sides?)
    
  • The connectors of the small animal barrier are adjustable to any angle just like the joints, in other words the connectors can be adjusted to either 90° angle or 180°. If you buy multiple kits, they can be connected together using the joints.

  • Will rabbits chew through the plastic ?
  • Rabbits can chew through plastic, but they are deterred by the fence and look for an easier place to browse. If the rabbit were trapped inside a plastic fence, eventually it would chew on the fence.
    We have had no reports of rabbits getting inside this particluar fence design.

  • I like the fence to keep rabbits out. How do I work around the fence? Do I have to remove the whole thing every time I work in the garden?
  • For most common garden chores, like harvesting lettuce, setting starters or weeding, you can work from over the fence. It's also easy to lift the fencing from the bottom and set it on the top bar for temporary access. You should only need to remove the fence at the end of the growing season.

  • What are the dimensions of the garden base bed before adding the mesh to the sides? With the mesh, then what are the dimensions of this product? It sounds like there is only one stake included. Is that correct? What are the cross bars? I think I understand what the stacker joints are -- so there are six with every kit, correct? What kind of wood is used?

  • The Raised Garden Bed Rabbit Fence is designed to attach to the composite raised beds with anchor/stacking joints. The fence is sold separately, the garden raised bed is not included in the price of the fence.
    
    The garden bed pictured is 4' x 8', and so the fence fits it exactly. You can expand the fence by pruchasing an expansion kit, if you deside to buy a longer or wider raised bed.
    
    The dimensions of the product are 4' x 8' x 23" tall. (The fence fully surrounds the 4 x 8 bed; if the fence were stretched out straight, it would be 24' long.)
    
    There are no stakes included. The six stainless steel posts insert into the existing anchor/stacking joints of the bed. You just pop off the caps on the top of the joints and insert the fence upright support rod.
    
    The raised beds in the picture, which this fence is designed for, is made of composite plastic - a belnd of wood fiber and polypropylene. Here is the link to the raised bed where you can find more information:
