The Greenworks 10 Amp Electric dethatcher uses stainless steel tines, which offer long-lasting and reliable performance. Its 3-position tine depth adjustment provides greater control, by removing matted layers and promoting healthy lawn growth. The handle is designed with an ergonomic, padded grip for added comfort and control.
This non-polluting electric dethatcher is a surprisingly robust little machine. In a single pass, it is capabe of pulling up a thick mat of thatch that you'll need a rake to gather up. It does not have a collection box because it would overload it too quickly.
An added bonus is the thatch which this machine pulls up. Easy to rake and bag, the dried thatch is a carbon-rich material which is ideal for adding to your compost. Most home composters are nitrogen rich, and in need of carbon materials to balance the nitrogen for enhancing the composting process. Another great use for the collected thatch is for mulch. The material is easy to spread around plants, and is light and fluffy, an ideal consistency for mulch.
