The CompoMix Compost Bin features a well-aerated composting bin plus a wheeled cart for easy transportation of the finished compost.

The CompoMix upper chamber is a well-aerated bin that can fit 70 gallons of kitchen scraps and yard waste. Lift the lid, add scraps, and use the included tool to agitate the compost. Entering this chamber are tubes which bring air in from the outside. The base of the bin has holes in it which allow air up into the chamber, and allow finished compost to drop through the holes into the cart below.

When the cart is full, use the included handle to tow it to your garden or shrubs and shovel it out.

- Can stuff drop through that isn't thoroughly composted. And will liquid drop through?
- Only small bits get through the insert so if there is anything that is not fully composted it will finish off quickly since it is broken down to a small bit.
  
  There is not much liquid in compost unless you add it. Things do get quite moist but do not produce much flow of liquid. If any liquid drops through it will incorporate into the finished compost quickly.

- Won't the holes at the bottom of the chamber clog up easily? Is this product suitable for continuous composting?
- The holes are sized to minimize clogging and arrayed the full width of the bottom of the bin. Some will be clogged but enough remain open to give the benefit of aeration from below.
  The key element in this design is the mixing tool, and this is quite a unique feature. Because the bottom drawer comes out, the composter is not that deep. This makes it possible to turn the tool and mix the materials. This action also addresses the clogged hole issue - the materials are brushed across the bottom when being mixed, the clogs drop through and free the hole for aeration.
  Yes, this is 'continuous' composter. You can harvest from the drawer as compost accumulates, while still adding fresh materials in the top.
