50-foot length, 5/8-inch in diameter, waters an average of 9” on either side of the hose (18” total).

Compared to our other soaker hoses, the Water Wise weeps faster than the Pro Series and the Osmile. The end of this hose is fitted with a screw on black cap (no pressure valve is necessary) which allows you to connect additional soaker hoses. These hoses are so strong you can run the water at full pressure if necessary, with no problems.

Soaker hoses are a great way of conveniently watering your plants, and will help you reduce your water use by up to 90%. Lay the hose along your row of plants, layer some bark mulch over the hose (to further reduce evaporation), and then connect the soaker hose to your garden hose or to an automatic timer.

- How much water pressure is needed?
  
  Would this work with a gravity fed rainwater collection system?
  
  Would the pro model be recommended for gravity fed systems since it has larger holes?
  
  Is there risk of the hose clogging up over time when used with a rainwater collection system?
- Good questions!
  
  The soaker hoses will release an amount of water which corresponds with the available water pressure. Lower pressure will result in a slower drip release. You can increase the amount of drip release by increasing the water pressure.
  
  The Pro model will give you a larger release. Regarding possible clogging of the holes, you should have screen on your rainwater collection system which filters out particulate matter. It is recommended, with any rainwater fed system or direct lake-fed system, to have an intake filter on your supply line. A simple screen filter can also be added to the garden end of the line - these look like small hose washers with a small domed screen, and are available at any hardware store.
  
  We use soaker hoses in our garden, and like you, we are on a gravity fed water system.

- Does the Water Wise Soaker Hose come in a smaller size, like 25 feet? I have two small areas in front of my house (NYC usual crowded style) and would like to know if I can cut to size and put parts of it to fit on each side. Thank you.
- The WaterWise soaker hose only comes in lengths of 50 and 100 feet. I do not recommend cutting them to shorter lengths due to the end connection fittings. When we use our soaker hose on a small area, we coil it to fit the shape of the area and lower the flow rate at the tap.

- Can you run your hose at full pressure, and does the soaker hose have a pressure release valve on the end, or an outlet?
- You can run your water at full pressure if you like. These hoses are so strong they will not burst. There is no pressure release valve or outlet. The end of the hose has a black screw on cap that prevents water from escaping, by removing this cap you can connect additional hoses.
