Non-toxic sticky traps. Fungus gnats are small flies that breed in the damp soil of potted plants, and fly around your home in circles. The adults are attracted to carbon dioxide and often fly around people, attracted by their breath. Although the insects don't kill houseplants, they are difficult to remove from a home. The fly larva feed on fungus that grows in the potting soil. When the adult flies emerge, they pop out of the soil and run up the plant stem and fly around your house. When using the Gnat Stix in your potted plants, the gnats will be attracted to the yellow sticky paper and get caught before they fly around your home. The sticky sheets are small enough so they won’t take away from the look of your plants, yet large enough to catch the gnats. The simple sticky trap assembles in seconds. The glue stays sticky for months, even if it gets when you water your plants. Simply peel the release paper from the yellow sticky sheet, thread the included stick through the holes in the sheet, and place the stick in any potted plant infested with fungus gnats. This trap is also effective for aphids and scale insects. Each sheet lasts for approximately three months. Replace the sticky sheet with another after three months, or when it is full of insects. Box Contents:12 sticky sheets, 6 sticks. Dimensions:4.25"L x 1.25"W sheets, 4.5"L stick. Made in the USA. Ships to the US lower 48 and Canada.
