These composite timbers are made of a specially developed combination of recycled plastic and wood flour. They won't rot, splinter, or crack from extreme heat or cold. Each timber board is a standard 2 x 6" size and 44.5" long which creates a 4 foot span from joint to joint. Color is brown, with a subtle wood grain. The end slides into the Anchor Joint (or the Stacker Joint for each higher level), and is screwed in place. Screws come with the joints, not the timbers. The timbers go a slightly lighter shade with age because of the wood fiber content.
