The Dura-Trel compost bin is great for homeowners who want to compost lawn and garden clippings in addition to their household waste. The large open top makes it easy to dump the grass clippings direct from the lawnmower bag, or to easily add piles of leaves in the fall. Household scraps can also be added, but we recommend not adding any protein-based scraps (ie dairy, meat) because it may attract animals.

The Dura-Trel compost bin design is simple yet functional. The side rails are mounted on an angle, which prevents compost from falling out between them. All the side rails have space between them which helps with aeration of the compost and speeds decomposition. The front rails are not mounted on an angle, because they are designed to be removed (note the little inset handle on each rail). Remove the front rails by sliding them up, and as the compost bin fills up, add them back as needed. This means you will only have to lift as high as the compost pile in the bin.

The Dura-Trel compost bin is constructed of the highest quality vinyl, which contains the greatest concentration of Titanium Dioxide available. Titanium Dioxide is a powerful UV stabilizer that protects the vinyl from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. This bin will never fade, crack, peel, or rot and there is no need to paint it.

Assembly and Installation Instructions

Assembly instructions are included with each Dura-Trel product. All products come completely fabricated. All items are cut to size, all holes are routed and pilot holes are drilled. All you need to do is put the pieces together with our simple to understand instructions and drawings, and secure with the included screws or bolts.
