Eartheasy is a family owned business. We answer all phone calls and emails personally. The three partners are shown on the left: Ben, Greg and Aran Seaman. |
Eartheasy.com is an online source
for information and ideas for environmentally
sustainable living.
EartheasyShop is our online store, which offers products for people looking to live more lightly
on the planet. We have worked to identify products which are non-toxic, non-polluting and which complement the values of sustainability, conservation and energy-efficiency. Our product line is small, focused and well-priced.

With office and shipping facilities in Milwaukee, WI, and in BC, Canada, we strive to offer the most direct, lowest impact shipping methods for both US and Canadian customers.

Every new product, regardless
of its merit, requires energy and resources to
produce. We believe consumers should consider
used, recycled alternatives to new products, whenever
possible. In selecting products to offer in our
online store, we feel a product's environmental
costs should be outweighed by its benefits in
helping people live more sustainably, and more
connected to nature.
How We're Green
Having lived "off the grid" for over 25 years, we have first-hand experience with energy-efficiency, gardening, composting, water conservation and all facets of sustainable living. You can learn more about our family's unique story, or visit Eartheasy's award-winning website on green living ideas.
As well as promoting the benefits of living lightly on the earth, we make every effort to reduce our company’s environmental impact and our carbon footprint. We offset any greenhouse gas emissions created by our office, our servers, and transportation by purchasing carbon offset credits through Terrapass.com. This offsetting strategy is part of our overall strategy to reduce, which includes the following:

- We work on energy efficient laptops, and light our office with LEDs and CFLs.
- Our office is almost entirely paper-free. We don't send out mailers or catalogues.
- We compost lunch leftovers, and recycle everything we can.
- We reuse shipping boxes and packing when possible, and ask our vendors to reduce the packaging they send us.
- Most of the products we carry are chosen from manufacturers in the US or Canada. Products which are made overseas, like CFL bulbs, are sourced from reliable suppliers with fair trade policies.
- Revenue from purchases in the Eartheasy Shop go directly to supporting the site Eartheasy.com which enables us to promote research, news, and ideas for sustainable living to a truly global audience.
