The ScareCrow is effective because the concept is so simple - animals hate to be suddenly sprayed with water!.
When this sprinkler detects motion, it sends out a startling blast of water to deter pests without harming them. It has proven to be effective in solving some of the most common and persistent animal complaints. The combination of the unexpected noise, movement, and blast of water startles the animal. The animal will then associate the unpleasant experience with the location of the ScareCrow, and will avoid the area in the future.
To use the product, simply attach it to a standard garden hose, and place the ScareCrow in the area you want to protect. After you turn on the water and the unit, it is ready to go. In the winter, keep the ScareCrow indoors and remove the battery to prevent damage from freezing water.
The ScareCrow can be used with the ScareCrow Mounting Bracket, which allows you to mount the sprinkler to a fence or a post in areas with unstable soil.

- Will this product work to keep small animals like squirrels away from my garden?
- The ScareCrow Animal Deterrent is mostly meant for use against larger animals, such as deer, dogs, and raccoons. However, customers have successfully used it against squirrels. The ScareCrow has a range of sensitivity settings, and for small animals you would need to use the highest setting available.
