The composite timbers for these raised beds are made of a specially developed combination of 60% recycled plastic and 40% wood flour, they won't rot or splinter and will last and last. Each timber board is a standard 2 x 6" size and 44.5" long which creates a 4 foot span from joint to joint. Color is brown (see image above).

You can also make your own raised beds to any size or shape by getting just the corner stakes and timbers you need. For example, some gardeners like a deeper bed, so the sides can be stacked three timbers high (approx. 17"). The maximum recommended height is four timbers.

The corner stakes are also adjustable, because the flanges pivot on the hinge. You can make a bed that is octagonal, or angled to any desired shape. Standard lumber (2" x 6") can also be used in place of the composite timbers if you prefer. With these versatile corner stakes and composite timbers, you can create a wide range of designs to fit your landscaping plan.
