- I have a slightly raised outdoor deck that's 12' x 20' & have seen 4 nests under construction within 6 ' of each other under the deck. Will this work as the avoidance of competing nests haven't stopped the development of the other nests?
- There are some wasp species which build very different nests and behave very differently, such as the Paper Wasp. The Waspinator will not be as effective on these wasps.
Even so, The Waspinator will still act as a repellent for some of these wasps because it also resembles a hornets nest, and as hornets are predators to these species, the wasps think it's a hornets nest and stay away for that reason. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No

- I have Bumble Bees, Honey Bees and Hummingbirds. Will this in any way scare them away or just the wasps that are drinking nectar from the hummer feeders and scaring my hummers away. I like the bumble bees but I hate the yellow jackets that are on the feeders constantly.
- The Waspinator will repel the wasps at your hummingbird feeder, but will have no impact on the hummingbirds.

- Does the Waspinator work for yellow jackets? I've read that they make their nests in or on the ground and since the waspinator hangs would it still be effective for yellow jackets?
I'd appreciate an answer soon, since I'd like to purchase one if it will work. The yellow jackets are driving away my hummingbirds and I can't hang feeders.

Donna - Yes, the Waspinator will repel yellow jackets as well as wasps. Yellow jackets are very sensitive to territorial claims, and they will avoid being in the proximity of the Waspinator.

Bought 2 of these several years ago for our large patio. We constantly fought to keep the wasps from building nests. Haven't had any trouble since. They fly in and look aroung but they do not build nests now. This worked on our red wasps, and mud dobbers.

I bought this because the wasps just love the heat hitting the side of my house. These traps don't work! They flew right by it, some landed on it and they didn't even care it was there. Save your money

Doesn't work on Yellow Jackets - I returned

I bought this to scare yellow jackets away from my house in the woods in Montana. They were constantly bothering us on our deck and when walking around the property. It's impossible to find the underground nests on 20 acres of pine forest. The fake nests did absolutely nothing to scare them away. I was extremely disappointed and returned them!
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Not sure

I hung this on my porch, where my husband hangs a basket of flowers, we had wasps and bees all the time. After 1 1/2 to 2 days they were gone. My husband made fun on me when I bought now he is a believer.
