Application:
Simply spray the areas infested with bed bugs, or those areas you think bed bugs might be hiding. Be very thorough, as they can hide in very small cracks during the day, and then emerge at night to feed. Allow mattresses to dry completely before sleeping on them.
A 12 oz. spray bottle treats approximately 8 queen-size mattresses or 220 sq. ft.

- I'm planning for a trip where I may come in contact with bedbugs and am planing a course of preventative action. I have a few questions about your product:
Will bedbugs actually be killed if they come in contact with an item (for example a suitcase) which has been sprayed 1-2 hours before the contact with the bedbug? Has this been tested?
Your website says the product can prevent additional outbreaks for up to two weeks. How does it prevent additional outbreaks for that long?

Re these results: Did these tests involve contact of the bedbugs with the product in its liquid state? Or did these results occur after the spray had been applied to surface, allowed to dry for several hours or even days, and finally followed by the introduction of the bedbugs?
Does the product have a laboratory confirmed action of repelling bedbugs?

Mirabelle Galian - The product has been tested - it contains various essential oils that are persistent, which is what gives it the long lasting effect. Because the oils take a long time to dissipate, they continue to be effective. This also means that the fragrance of the product is long-lasting. It was tested in a lab doing a "kill study" for 18 months of field use. The bugs were killed within 20 seconds and the lab found that if applied as a maintenance every two weeks, no bugs returned.

I purchased the small size, and it did kill all the bugs in the corner of the mattress, however I ran out and need more to get the other furniture. This time I'm getting the large size.
