- Can you explain further what Aldana asked "What type of plasticare these balls made of?" Are they plastic , if so what type, or are they made of some other material and if so what?
- Nellie's PVC-FREE Dryerballs are made of thermal plastic rubber.
Thermoplastic rubber is a part of the Styrene elastomer family that displays rubber-like properties with styrenic-based segment that gives it remarkable strength. Thermoplastic rubber combines the process-ability of plastics with the flexibility and durability of rubbers, while more light weight and flexible.

- How do clothes stand up to these plastic balls? Would it be like throwing a feather into the load or more like throwing a baseball into the load. Bouncing around in the dryer, I imagine some fabrics are not going to fair well being crushed by these dryer-balls. What say you?
- Clothes stand up better with Nellie's PVC-FREE Dryerballs. The balls are not heavy, like baseballs, they are much lighter and they serve to keep the garments from clinging together and delaying the drying process. The garments are less stressed by tangles and less likely to be chafed by zippers and pulls from other garments. The dryer balls help separate the spinning garments and expose them to more drying air.

- You say they last up to 2 years-- but could you give me a ballpark figure on frequency of use? Some people do several loads of laundry per week, whereas I usually do 1 or 2 loads a month. That's quite a difference. So a load estimate would be great to know.
- The estimate is based on typical dryer use, which is 2 - 3 loads per week.

- I was wondering how the dryer balls work on delicate or knitted items. Occasionally I throw my sweaters in the dryer for just a few minutes and then lay them flat. Would using a dryer ball make them fuzzier or damage the fabric?
- Nellie's PVC-FREE Dryerballs will not harm the delicate items you describe. However, we recommend that any delicate items should be put in the dryer for short times only. Leave them in long enough to start the drying process but let them finish drying out of the dryer. Laying the items flat, as you describe, is the best method. Avoid using wire hangers when drying.
