Details
The Clothes Dryer Heat Saver attaches to the dryer vent hose so hot air (and humidity depending on dryer cycle) that would normally exit through the dryer vent is directed back into your laundry room. This device will save otherwise wasted heat, and help keep your room a little warmer during the winter. It also features an easy to clean removable screen, which may be closed during summer months so hot air is directed outside.
Not for use with gas clothes dryers.

- Does installation involve cutting the dryer vent hose?
- Hi Leslie,
No. You do not need to cut the dryer vent hose in order to install the Clothes Dryer Heat Saver. You simple pull it back a few inches to fit over the cowling of the Heat Saver. It's a very simple operation.

- is there a danger of carbon dioxide poisoning
- There is a danger of increased carbon monoxide levels when a forced air appliance creates negative air pressure which can pull air from the flue of a combustion appliance back into the house. This is why the Clothes Dryer Heat Saver should not be used with gas dryers. Although the manufacturer does not state any other precautions for safe use of this device, it is advisable to not use this where the dryer is in close proximity to a combustion appliance.
Combustion appliances include wood burning stoves, gas logs, gas water heaters, gas stoves or any appliance that burns a carbon-based fuel to produce heat. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No

Good idea in theory, but dangerous.

Lint accumulates in the dryer vent hose if not cleared out after using your dryer. This lint will catch on fire! Use at your own risk. I showed this product to my husband(he is a contractor) and he couldn't believe this product made it through a company's R+D dept.
