Experimental Greenhouse Kit

The Experimental Greenhouse provides young children an opportunity to learn about the growing cycle of plants, from seed to bloom, through conducting up to 30 interesting and fun learning experiments. Grow beans, cress, zinnia flowers, find out how roots transport water and nutrients, make tiny plaster insects to decorate your garden and collect seeds with your socks!

The Experimental Greenhouse includes:

• A greenhouse floor and 2 dome lids
• Plant pots
• Soil pellets (you will need additional soil to supplement what’s included)
• Cress, Zinnia and Scarlet Runner Bean seeds
• Thermometer
• Plaster for making garden decorations
• Full-color illustrated guide book with step-by-step instructions for all experiments and growing information for many common plants
• Tools and supplies for growing and maintaining your greenhouse garden

You will need some additional household materials to perform some of the experiments, for example: an empty yogurt container, fruit and vegetable seeds, a drinking glass, old nylon socks and some other items you can find around the home. For ages 5 and up.
