  • The active ingredients in BugShooter Natural Kitchen Bug Spray are clove oil and peppermint oil. These oils are available in health food stores, but you will have to experiment to find the ideal dilution ratio for your application.

  • Does the insecticide continue to kill bugs when sprayed around cabinets and areas around the kitchen or do you have to spray directly on the bugs to kill them?

  • Bug Shooter is effective when sprayed in the general environment which insects occupy. You do not need to target the insect directly.

  • My cat is my natural cockroach killer, she kills mostly with her mouth. Is this product harmful if she bites/consume insects sprayed with BugShooter?

    Your cat will not be harmed by coming into contact with a bug sprayed with BugShooter. But your cat will probably not like the tase and may spit it out.

  • How about gnats? I can't seem to get rid of them! My kitchen has no fruits or veggies out, I run the garbage disposal after each use, but I can't get rid of them! Do you have a natural product I can use such as vinegar, alcohol, ???

  • My husband and I are planning to take in donated furniture and re-furbish or recycle it. Since alot of donated or "found" used furniture is being discarded due to insect infestation, I am searching for non-toxic sprayable product that we can purchase in large quantities. We plan keep these in a short-term holding area to spray newly received items before we refinish or dismantle the furniture.
    
    Will this product meet our needs, and if so, is it available in bulk quantities that might be sprayed from a 1-gallon pump bottle? Once we spray the product on the furniture, how long should we wait before we can start working with it to ensure any insects will not end up in our main work areas?

    Dust it on furniture, let it sit for a few days or longer, then vacuum it up. If any bugs come in contact with it, they will die within a few days.

  • Black widow infestation in home. In the woods, mice as well. I can handle the mice ...but the spiders............recluse as well. Any ideas???

    We also have a home in the woods and have had more than our share of spiders and mice. The only way we could control the mice was by sealing every entry point with 1/4" galvanized mesh. It took years to find every entrance!
    But controlling spiders, and all other insects, was accomplished using the DE. It takes a few weeks before you will notice the difference. DE is the only thing that has worked for us in keeping bugs out of our home.

    I'm not sure of your particular needs, but we offer diatomaceous earth in 4.4lb bags which goes a very long way. We use this products exclusively for bug control in our home, and a bag this size lasts several years for us.   • I will be mainly spraying the outside of my home but sometimes need it inside. Does it leave a sticky residue?

    BugShooter does not leave a sticky residue so there is no cleanup needed. However, if sprayed repeatedly in the same area, over time you will want to sponge the area clean.
    
    For general purpose indoor insect control, we also recommend diatomaceuos earth. Small amounts can be placed in areas which bugs frequent, and their populatio will gradually diminish without you having to target the bugs. It is very effective, and I can recommend this from first hand experience.   • For garden use, is the product to be sprayed directly on the plant, or just around the soil
  • Bugshooter can be sprayed on the plant. However, I suggest doing a test spray on one plant, and wait 24 hours, to be sure the particular plant species is unaffected.
