We are using refillable oil candles now and I love the new organic lamp oil by Firefly Fuel called Safe & Green Eco-friendly fuel alternative. It’s sustainable, made from renewable resource, non toxic, odorless, smokeless, so it produces no soot, emits no polluntants into the air. It’s not a petroleum product.

We tried venting the room but the air movement makes the candles drip to one side and burn unevenly which causes a big wax mess.

My daughter is a candle nut! She has a collection in her room and always has one or more burning. I am sending her this article and getting her beeswax candles to burn. She can keep the others in her collection but I am urging her to burn the beeswax ones only. Appreciations for this info!

I felt the same way. Researching information for this article was quite eye-opening, and I tried to not overstate the hazards with each type of candle. I am switching to beeswax candles.

I love beeswax candles. I love the smell of them we used to have them when I was little so they bring back memories.
