I live in new zealand and i have recently installed a composting toilet, its called a bio loo and i love it! I have it in my bathroom and there is NO smell. I much prefer using this system than a more expensive septic tank. I am looking forward to when I will have enough compost in it to empty it which should be in 2 years, after the first 6 months I can put worms in it. its a great system and more people should take responiblity for their own waste.Most days rather than peeing in my bio loo ill use a bucket and dilute it then just pour it on my rhubard-which is huge!

We need to get over attitudes about waste and look to the benefit we can get. Separating out the urine for fertilizer makes sense to me, and saving water, well that's a no-brainer!

I love this technology. I live in the city and want a composting toilet. I also wonder about all of the water that goes down my sinks. Couldn't that water be saved to water my yard? I so want to be a part of this whole revo evoluntion to being smart and efficient with how we live on this wonderful planet of ours.
