I have these halogen bulbs in my home and they are so very close to natural light, they do not give off the heat of an incandescent bulb, they have saved me alot of money and the best part is they are made in the USA!

I believe that these are the best alternative for household lighting.

Watts, being a decent indicator of power consumption, is really not very useful for the kind of lighting technologies we have today – infact the lower the better, for most people. Having an indication of brightness, however, makes much more sense.
