Problem is here that you have to have the money to buy. We save up 4k for a new furnace etc. BUT.. if we wanted the one with the rebate we had to cough up 6 k and "wait" a year for the rebate. So .. so much for that. Once again it was " apply for credit" or buy one that does not qualify for the rebate and is not as efficient. Still set up for the really well off only. We are not "poor" by anyone's standards. But this system will not get anyone green quickly unless you got a lot of green to begin with.

As a practicing CPA who installed geothermal several years ago, let me also mention that nearly every state has a state tax credit for energy efficient improvements. Additionally must electric utilities have a large one-time credit (ours is $1800 right now). Finally, some states even reduce property tax assessments-ours saves us $700 per year.

exactly anyone now a days can rebuild there home with great benefits not just for the enviornment but also their money. People just need to know that it is very cheap and affordable to fix little things in there home
